Imraan "Immy" Farukhi is an experienced attorney handling business transactions, IP protection, and counseling with a focus on the entertainment, music, film, television, advertising, fashion, sports, new media, technology, real estate, food, and manufacturing industries. He has worked with Grammy-nominated and legacy musicians, as well as legal teams for Academy Award-winning films and commercial productions. His clients include film and TV production companies, writers/directors, on-screen talent, music producers/mixers, musicians, models, and advertising productions for prominent brands and celebrities. As a natural extension of his practice, he has served as a producer on independent films, including as associate producer on Blame (2017), and as  executive producer on Hideout (2021) and Goodbye, Petrushka (2022).

In 2021, he co-founded the innovative manufacturing startup, ThinkVariant Inc., where he serves as Chief Legal Officer. The company specializes in 3D printing and additive manufacturing process solutions, drawing upon his extensive experience representing musical instrument and audio technology manufacturers.   

He is also an Associate Professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he teaches law courses in the Television-Radio-Film program and the Bandier music industry program. He regularly speaks on cutting-edge entertainment business and technology matters, and his expertise has been solicited in interviews by media outlets including Rolling Stone and CNBC.

Immy originally founded "Farukhi Law" as a boutique New York solo law practice in 2017, which re-launched as a partnership in 2023, and as Farukhi Law PLLC as of 2026. Prior to starting Farukhi Law, he was an attorney in the entertainment department of Fox Rothschild LLP, and with prominent boutique entertainment and intellectual property law firms throughout the New York City metro area.

Maximillian “Max” Verrelli is a seasoned New York entertainment attorney with over fifteen years of experience. In addition to his private practice representing artists, songwriters, record labels, music publishers, estates, filmmakers, production companies, photographers and fashion brands, Max also serves as the General Counsel to Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records Group, Inc., a New York based full-service music and entertainment group.
